ALGIERS (Reuters) - A group of young men affiliated to al Qaeda's north African wing kidnapped an Italian woman tourist in southern Algeria, an Algerian government security source said on Friday.
The source said security services believed the kidnappers were a group of local young men who had been in prison and joined al Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb soon after they were released five or six months ago.
